Special Preparation of Workers with Children and Youth in The Free Time
KOVAŘÍKOVÁ, Jana
This dissertation handles the theme of free time of children, youth and of a specific group such as children and youth with a handicap. Another theme are the possibilities and modes of free time utilisation for children and youth which can be divided into three groups. The first one contains school facilities for hobby education, the second group comprises of non-profit oraganizations. The third group consists of specific free time facilities for children and youth, such as libraries, museums and low-threshold centres. That is why the following part of the dissertation is dedicated to the issue of who can work with children and youth in their free time. These are primarily qualified pedagogical staff, volunteers and external staff ? lectors. The greatest part of the work handles the Expert preparation of workers with children and youth during their free time. A stress is put on the need of life-long education of the staaf as the free-time area is continuously changing and evolving, thus an increased ability of the individual to react flexibly vis-?-vis the changing conditions is needed. There are several ways how to obtain the necessary qualification. These are mutually inerconnected and intermingled. An expert qualification can be obtained via successful formal education. Another way lies in undergoing informal education which is determined by the Conception of further education of pedagogical staff from 2002, created by the Ministry of Youth and Education. This establishes a system for hobby education into primary and further education for staff working with children and youth in the area of free time and for staff working with children in the area of free time mostly NNO (non-goervnmental and non-profit orghanizations staff). Each organization has created its own educational structure which suits their needs. That is why their take place in two clasped flows as according to the Conception of education for pedagogical staaf it is compulsory to some courses for leading staff within the framework od the organization be accredited. In the theoretic part there is also mentioned the large project Keys for Life. In the practical part I focused on the research of the actual the ways in which the education of staf working with children and youth in their free time takes place and which possibilities exist. I chose the form of quantitative research, particularly of structered interviews that I lead with staff in various facilities acting in the field of free time of children and youth. The research implies that there are many possibilities how to get a necessary qualification for work with children and youth in their free time. The first possibility to obtain the desired qualification is formal education, particularly by means of completing a secondary school, a higher expert (secondary) school or a university with focus on pedagogy. This education is valid in all facilities dedicated to work with children and youth in their free time. The second possiblity is the so called informal education, in this particular case meaning a wide variety of courses, lectures and trainings. Some of these courses are accredited by the MYE, which insures for them, similarly as in the case of completing the formal education, a validity in throughout all facilities. The contents, aims and guidelines of these courses are based on the Conception of further education for pedagogical staff. The reasearch also confirmed that every organization has created a system of own education, except for courses accredited by the MEY, which suits their internal needs and philosphy. A major fact, however, is the nonexistence of courses focused on expert preparation for work with handicapped children. The dissertation can serve as a practical guide for those who consider working with children and youth in the free time or want to get further education in this field. It can also serve for studying purposes.

KUJÍNKOVÁ, Eva

Information about development of Czech educational policy since 1989 is summarized in the theoretical section, where I also presented the most important documents affecting current educational policy as well as the language policy. I have chosen only a specific part of the field, which is devoted to preparing students for German language teaching at basic schools. Emphasis is placed on the comparison of offered subjects, thematic composition of subjects and the way of obtaining didactic knowledge and teaching skills.
